WE'RE SNOWED IN AND WE'RE SNOWED OUT. JANUARY 2011 in NEW YORK CITY

Snow, snow and snow, breaking all the snowfall records  in New York City.  But we have fabulous parks and famous Central Park is definately one of the places to go on days like these.  The lakes are frozen over, some 15 inches of  snow on the hills and trails, no traffic allowed and only the iconic skyline of Manhattan reminds us we're still in the big city.

Cross country skiers, snowshowing, sledding, iceskaters and hikers are everywhere.  Small confusion however, I am dreaming of the gold of new spring daffodiles (thank you Belgum - a 9/11 memorial scattered throughout all New York City) and little white and blue flowers, the first to wake up from winter's sleep.

AND, CAN SPRING BE FAR BEHIND.
